Guang – #AutismMovie short film

This Malaysian short film is one of the few Autism themed Asian movies that I know of.

Wen Guang is a verbal, classical Autistic Chinese-Malaysian young man, living with his younger brother.

Autism in the developing world

The accommodations available to and societal attitudes towards Autistic people in developing countries are in stark contrast to those of developed countries.

This film gives a glimpse of the experience of an Autistic young man in a small, developing, South East Asian country.

Music savant

Wen Guang has a passion for sound and music, including memorization of wavelengths of particular notes.

The movie has a surprising and powerful ending.

Movie director

Quek Shio Chuan is both the Director and the script writer.

  • He also plays the non-Autistic brother in the film

He dedicated this movie to his Autistic brother and to every other Autistic person in the World.
