Daniel Tammet, born 1979 in London, England, is an is diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome.

Daniel is also a Math and Language Savant with a Genius level IQ.

He has authored two books to date:

  • Born on a Blue Day is his autobiography
  • Embracing The Wide Sky is a journey inside the mind of a Genius Savant looking at
    • Numbers
    • Creativity
    • Intelligence
    • Perception

Thinking in Numbers, Daniel’s third book, has a publication date of August 2012.

    Thank you for posting this. I’m going to make a cup of tea, then watch these video clips with headphones on (don’t want to wake my good wife who sleeping in the room above).
    On the basis of what I’ve read about what Daniel says about colours, numbers, and his love for what populates his sensory and cognitive processing: I’ve adopted the notion that autistic intelligence crucially resides in management of emotion; emotional management that requires being free of social constraint and trammelling, at an imaginative extreme.
